Villa Nyasa is a beautiful sprawling thatched Villa by the Beach, conveniently situated on the southern shore of Lake Malawi half way between Mangochi town and Club Makokola, in a unique Leisure Resort style setting. It offers spacious and comfortable self-catering accommodation with air conditioned bedrooms, suitable for both a small family or a big group of up to 22 people. It also incorporates a large beachside entertainment area comprising of a family friendly swimming pool, bar area with a dart board (please bring your own darts), kitchenette and al fresco dining and BBQ patio.
Villa Nyasa is situated approximately 2km north of the turn-off to Palm Beach Lodge and around 1 km from the turn off from the main road. It is sign posted at the main turn off as well as at the end of the dirt road after driving through Namiasi Village.
The Villa boasts of a large central living area, comprising of an entrance hall with an adjoining cloak room and bathroom with a full sized bath; a spacious lounge with a wall mounted flat screen TV and a DSTV decoder; a unique cocktail bar; an adjoining spacious screened multi- purpose open sitting area; a dining room with an outside lake facing patio and a large well equipped kitchen. On either side of the living area are the two accommodation wings housing the bedrooms:
The East wing (Executive): comprises of 4 double bedrooms each with a king sized bed and an en-suite bathroom with shower, suitable for sleeping up to 8 people. All Bedrooms are furnished with fitted cupboards, a mirrored vanity unit, bed side tables with lamps, ceiling fans as well as air conditioners. All windows are louvered with insect proof gauze, negating the need for separate mosquito nets. Linens and towels are supplied for each room.
The West Wing (Family): comprises of 2 large family bedrooms each with 3 single beds and 2 king sized beds and en-suite bathrooms with shower, suitable for sleeping upto 14 people. Both bedrooms are furnished with fitted cupboards, a mirrored vanity unit, bedside tables, ceiling fans and air conditioners. All windows are louvered with insect proof gauze, negating the need for separate mosquito nets. Linens and towels are supplied for each room.
We have a 5.5Kva gen set and borehole water. Please ensure efficient usage of electricity and water, by turning off air conditioners when not in the room as well as all water taps upon leaving the bathroom. - Please instruct the staff when you want your room cleaned, as if you close your room they might think you don’t want them to intrude. Also bear in mind that if all the rooms are occupied they will need a fair amount of time to clean them all. - Please note any loss or damages caused to the property and/or equipment at the Villa through negligence, or misuse will be held to the guest’s account.
Set amidst extensive grounds, fronted by beautifully manicured lawns with an abundance of coconut palms (watch out for falling coconuts!) and a very large sandy beach (ideal for all beach sports), Villa Nyasa faces North with gorgeous views of both sunrise and sunsets, particularly during the winter months when one can also enjoy cool evenings around a bonfire on the beach. During the day, 3 modern kayaks (2 singles & 1 double with life jackets), suitable for both adults and children alike, are also available for the guests pleasure.
Although there is security personnel in place and the staff of Villa Nyasa will have the guest’s interests at heart at all times, it is the guest's’ responsibility to ensure that the house is locked prior to turning in for the night and that all valuables are kept in a safe place. Please do not leave personal belongings outside at night. The Management, staff and owners of Villa Nyasa cannot be held liable for any personal loss or damage whatsoever. Similarly, the Management, staff and owners of Villa Nyasa cannot be liable for any accidental injuries arising during your stay at Villa Nyasa, or caused utilising any of the resort facilities or equipment.
