Itinerary
Day 1Thornicroft Lodge
Depart Lilongwe at approx 0900 in the transfer bus/vehicle to Luangwa Valley approx a 5-6 hrs drive. A picnic lunch is enjoyed en route and ETA at the Lodge is midafternoon.
On arrival and after your refreshing welcome drink, check into your chalets followed by tea and coffee. Dinner is served from 19:30hrs onwards.
An afternoon game drive is available should you wish it.
Day 2 - 4South Luangwa National Park
After a light snack with tea & coffee we depart for a morning drive at 0600hours. All game drives are undertaken in open game viewing vehicles, to optimise your pleasure and experience.
Drinks and snacks are taken along for your enjoyment whilst in the park. Depending on game sightings, we return to the lodge at 11 for a scrumptious “brunch”.
An afternoon rest, swim, tea then we again head out for our afternoon/ night drive at around 1600hour – returning to the lodge at 20H00 for Evening Dinner.
Day 5Departure
This morning a more leisurely start to the day with breakfast after which we pack up and return back to Lilongwe. A picnic lunch is eaten en route and ETA in the city is 1500.
