Itinerary

Day 1 & 2Pumulani Luxury Beach Lodge

You will be picked up from your hotel in Blantyre or Lilongwe & transferred to Pumulani at 08:30am. Pumulani is situated on the west side of the Nankumba Peninsula on the Southern end of Lake Malawi. you can find Pumulani subtly nestled in the lush hills amongst the trees and craggy outcrops. The ten villas with their grass roofs to help reflect the heat provide the ultimate in space, design, comfort and privacy.

David Livingstone famously named Lake Malawi “The Lake Of Stars” and for good reason, during the day the light dances across the deep blue water and once the sun has set the stars twinkle brightly both in the sky but also on the lake as the fishermen light up their hurricane lamps for their night on the lake. Guests can relax on the white sandy beach or enjoy an elevated view of the lake from the stylish infinity pool .

For those seeking some activity we offer water skiing, sailing, kayaking, walks in the hills, sunset cruises on our hand built dhow and snorkeling and diving. Under water activities never fail to amaze as the diversity of fish life is very surprising and experts say that this lake is home to more native fish species than any other in the world. Pumulani offers the perfect mix for a memorable holiday. Enjoy being active or simply relax in the beautiful and tranquil scenery.

Day 3 & 4Nyala Lodge

You will depart Pumulani Lodge & be transferred to Nyala Lodge at 08:00am after breakfast.

Nyala Lodge is situated in Lengwe National Park which will take approximately 6 hours. It offers nine Luxurious en-suite chalets (family rooms and double rooms), which, with their thatched roofs, blend in with the surroundings. All rooms have cold and hot water showers, electricity, mosquito nets and ceiling fan. Two rooms are equipped with air conditioners. The main building consists of a restaurant and bar area with a Khonde overlooking a water hole where animals frequently come to drink. There is a little pool where one can cool down on the hot days.

The Lodge offers a diversity of activities including early morning and games walks and drives. The evening drives can be complemented with sun downers and a night drive by spotlight, day trips to neighboring parks: Nyala Park, Mwabvi National Park, Majete Game Reserve and Kapichira falls. Boat trips on the Shire River into the elephant marsh with or without fishing is an option
