WHITE ROCK VILLA comprises of multi thatched buildings by the Beach, situated on the southern shore of Lake Malawi, Chirombo Bay approximately 5 kilometers from Monkey Bay, 60 kilometers from Mangochi and 20 kilometers to Cape Maclear, in a unique Leisure Resort setting. It offers spacious and comfortable accommodation, all rooms are air-conditioned, suitable for either a small family or a big group of up to 24 people. It has a central entertainment building with fully equipped open plan kitchen and dining area. There is also a bar, large TV with DSTV.
All buildings are Lake/beach facing with a large swimming pool which is beautifully lit at night. The lawn is well-kept with lovely plants and garden. The property is fenced and well secured. Outside by the swimming pool there are three other covered areas, one is a sitting/lounge overlooking the pool, and also overlooking the pool is a dining table. The third is a thatched covering also with dining table, BBQ (Gas) counter and small bar
ACCOMMODATION There are 3 roundavel thatched buildings, with 6 rooms. Hot water is supplied to all the rooms by geysers.
KITCHEN & BAR/ENTERTAINMENT AREA The kitchen is open plan and well equipped with a large gas stove, 1 large & 1 small chest freezers, a large fridge freezer, a microwave, a hot water urn and other useful kitchen equipment. There is a full selection of good quality crockery and cutlery, as well as glasses and a good range of kitchen equipment including Pots, Pans, Casserole dishes and Serving Platters.
For the bar & entertainment area there is a water dispenser, 1 single and 1 double door drink coolers, surround sound music system, dart board, pool table and table tennis.
STAFF Managed by the property Supervisor, Damiano, there are 2 house attendants who are responsible for cleaning the house and assisting guests in the kitchen. Please note that although the cook can prepare simple dishes and BBQ’s, he is not a chef. There are also 2 Gardeners and 2 security guards.
UTILITIES Power is supplied through the National grid (ESCOM) and we do have a 10KVA backup generator that will enable supply of most of the lighting and wall sockets, all ceiling fans and essential fridges.
White Rock Villa’s water supply is from the Mangochi municipality which is treated, however, guests are advised to bring their own bottled drinking water with them.
For your viewing pleasure, there is a monster flat screen LED TV and Satellite dish with a fully subscribed DSTV decoder.
There are two rooms, both with double beds, mosquito nets and air conditioning one is en-suite, main room also has a cot. – sleeps 4 adults & 1 infant
